- Preparation:
The paint/film surface must be almost perfectly prepared and degreased (free of any polish residue). The ambient temperature should ideally be between 20 and 30 degrees Celsius.
In general, the preparation process does not differ from conventional / known coating substrates.
- Apply:
Important: NO multi-layer process possible
The substrate, whether "Ceramic 3+" or "Ceramic 5+," is applied sparingly and carefully to the surface to be sealed using an application sponge or microfiber pad, using a crisscross motion. The corresponding surfaces are first coated horizontally and then vertically. The amount of substrate can be varied during application – however, drips must not form at the edges. - Refining / rubbing:
Ceramic 3+: Service life 3-7 years / Ceramic 5+: Service life 5-15 years
After approximately 2-4 minutes (approximately 4 minutes at 20 degrees Celsius, approximately 2 minutes at 30 degrees Celsius), gently rub the freshly sealed area with a microfiber cloth until a homogeneous surface is achieved (rub the sealant into the surface, so to speak). Then wipe with a second clean microfiber cloth. Do not mix up the cloths when repeating this process (it's best to use cloths of different colors).
Irregularities in the layer thickness can lead to a “rainbow effect” on the surface and must be reworked immediately.
Please consult a Fusionskin expert again regarding the Ceramic 5+. - Curing:
The vehicle should not be exposed to environmental influences for at least 12 hours after sealing. Protect the sealant from physical influences for at least 7 days.
